TOPIC: Expansion experience: Growing a crane and transport business in Asia and further afield.

Kohki Uemura joined Japan-headquartered international crane, transport and engineering services group DENZAI Corporation in 2011. In 2013, he was appointed director and head of business revitalisation following the acquisition of Kanto Corp. (now DENZAI Engineering Corp.). As a wholly owned subsidiary, it is leading the company’s entry into the onshore and offshore wind power construction and maintenance business.

In 2017 he was appointed DENZAI Group COO responsible for overseas business expansion. He has led the acquisition and post-merger integration of six companies. Group revenue is now nine times higher than it was in 2012. Kohki is a group CEO at DENZAI Group’s holding company, and at DENZAI K.K.

He was appointed vice chairman of the Singapore Cranes Association in 2023.
