Tom Clark

National Technical Manager at Fulton Hogan

Tom is a leading technical specialist in cranes and lifting in Australia. For over 40 years he has been involved in leading and advising the private and public sector in cranes and lifting. For the past 10 years he has held the position of National Technical Manager supporting the Fulton Hogan Construction and Utilities businesses in managing the risks and controls associated with cranes and lifting. He created and developed the cranes and lifting process for the Tier 1 multimillion dollar company, and has been leading the training of civil PE and PMs and supervisors in managing crane subcontractors for over 10 years. Previous to this he was Safework NSW’s Cranes and lifting Inspector for many years, and was an experienced rigger, crane operator, and working in mechanical engineering.

Tom has been heavily involved in improving the safety of cranes and lifting, rigging through his review of various relevant Australian standards and rigging guidelines and an active member of various technical advisory groups.
